Bad Gal Hustle Event on My Radar

As an entrepreneur, I’m always looking for interesting events in Toronto (and in the future globally!) to connect with likeminded people who share my values. I often go to legal events, seminars and workshops but I’m equally involved in the arts, athletics and business communities. A fellow lawyer recently reached out to me after I launched the AWE website and she asked to meet me for coffee. I’m always game to meet new people and I truly believe you can always learn something from these meetings so if timing works, I try to say yes and connect. She was lovely, and we instantly bonded over our love of running, wellness, and sometimes feeling out of place when we wear our “lawyer” hat. I feel so privileged to no longer feel that way, and to have a closet full of crazy coloured hats I can rock at any given time.

I digress…so, this awesome girl told me about @badgirlscollective on Instagram, a book club for badass women “on that intellectual tip”. I started following them, joined their newsletter hoping to go to the next meeting, and then I see this amazing event coming up that they posted! It’s their first ever Bad Girls Market, November 25th from 1-8pm at 165 Geary Ave. For only $5 cover, there will be over 20 women-run pop-ups, a women’s comedy showcase, an exclusive Bad Girls art collection and a for-charity cocktail bar. I don’t know about you, but I’m always game to support fellow Bad Gals’ hustle and hopefully connect with some great new people working hard to create their version of a meaningful life! I’ll be there on Saturday and I’ll definitely keep you posted on how the event goes.
